A newborn child staring into space, Halley’s last glimpse of the human race.
Terra and Halley’s farewell kiss, retreat once again into the black abyss.
For her it was just a blink of the eye, never truly got a chance to say goodbye.
I thought I’d meet her again someday, after I’d grown old and gray.
Why couldn’t she stay, and hold me close on judgment day.
I thought she’d always be there, this is the end of our love affair.
Would she still remember my face, returning from her journey through the darkness of space.

We had a good run, but you won’t see me in 2061, smash into the rubble and fall into the sun.
